Returns & Refund Policy

At Comme des Pirates, we want our customers to be fully satisfied with their purchases. That's why we believe in an easy and flexible returns policy, which encourages shopping with confidence.

Terms

Our policy is valid for a period of 50 calendar days from the date you receive your order (date of delivery, as per the carrier's tracking).

Conditions

A refund may be granted if the following conditions are met:

  • Product must be unused and in original condition.
  • Product must be unopened and in its original packaging.
  • In other words: in condition to be put back on sale!
  • Within 50 days of the delivery date.

Exceptions

We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for the following cases:

  • Gift cards.
  • Items marked as final sale (discount greater than 25%);
  • Clearance or discontinued products.
  • Items that have been assembled or modified.
  • Special orders (items obtained for you).

Proof of purchase

We might be a small business, but we're also a modern one. Which means we do not require (or even use) paper receipts of any kind. But we do need to identify your order, which is sufficient to establish proof of purchase.

To complete your refund, we automatically look up for your proof of purchase based on the email / name / delivery address provided to us. If you know your order number, even better. But any other identifiable information should also do the trick!

Please note that if we cannot identify your order because of a lack of reliable information provided to us, or if you are unable to provide proof of purchase otherwise, we will not be able to issue a refund.

If an item arrives damaged or defective

  • Please notify us by email as soon as possible, so that we can find a solution or compensate you.
  • Please include a photo of the box and all packaging materials. Photos should be sharp, well lit and taken from a reasonable distance.

Procedure for returning merchandise

  1. Contact us at info@commedespirates.ca, specifying the order number and the items you wish to return.
  2. Carefully pack your item(s) along with the packing slip or a copy of your order confirmation. In a pinch, writing your order # clearly on the shipping box, near the label, will do the trick.
  3. We will email you a prepaid return label, ready to print and affix to the shipping box (not directly on the item, please). Alternatively, you can choose to use your own shipping service, at your cost.
  4. Drop off the return package at the nearest service point, depending on the carrier.

Items must be returned in a shipping box. Items received without a shipping box, with shipping labels affixed directly to the product packaging, will not be accepted for return. You can use any suitable cardboard box - Amazon packages will do the trick!

Refund

Once your return is received and checked by our warehouse team, we will issue a refund for the purchase price to the original payment method within 5 business days (or within a week during peak volume periods).

  • Initial delivery charges (paid at time of purchase) are non-refundable.
  • A flat fee of 12$ (+ taxes) will be deducted from the refunded amount to cover part of the return shipping costs.
  • Customers can choose to use their own shipping service, at their own cost, to avoid the 12$ return fee.
