Shipping Policy

Order Processing and Shipping

Orders are processed out of our Montreal warehouse, Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 2 business days.

During high-volume periods (Black Friday, pre-Christmas shopping, etc.), processing time can be extended up to 4 days before shipment.

You will receive an e-mail notification when your order leaves our premises, with the tracking number to follow your shipment.

Transit & Delivery estimates

Most orders for the greater Montreal, Quebec City, and cities in the Quebec-Toronto corridor are delivered within 1 to 3 business days of shipment.

Standard Shipping transit time estimates by region:

  • Most urban areas in QC/ON: 2 to 3 business days
  • Rural or remote areas in QC/ON: 3 to 5 business days.
  • Most urban areas in other provinces: 3 to 5 business days.
  • Outside metropolitan areas in other provinces: 4 to 8 business days.

Delivery charges will be added to the price of your purchases before final confirmation of your order.

Oversized (bulky/heavy) Item Surcharge

A handful of products we sell on our website are considered "oversized" by shipping carriers, and additional shipping charges may apply for those extra heavy and/or bulky items. A note to this effect is displayed on the product page of any such items.

The extra surcharge is generally 15$ but can vary based on the address, carrier and size of the overall order. Generally, it should be in the 15$ range (we gladly cover part of the total surcharge).

The total shipping cost for your order that includes any such item will be clearly indicated at checkout.

Order cancellation

If you need to cancel your order, please contact us by e-mail as soon as possible at info@commedespirates.ca. The key factor is how quickly you let us know!

You will be able to cancel an order while it is being processed. If you've already received a tracking number, your order has been shipped and it's too late to cancel. You can always return unwanted items in accordance with our return policy.

Incorrect or incomplete shipping address

We strongly urge you to verify the accuracy of your shipping address before finalizing your order. No manual entry is made at our premises, so the address is the one entered at the time of completing your purchase.

Therefore, if a package is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we will reship it to the correct address under the following conditions:

  • Reshipment to the correct address will be at your expense, even if the order initially qualified for free shipping.
  • If you prefer to cancel the order, it will be reimbursed, minus the shipping costs incurred in both directions.

Making a correction to the address provided

If you notice that the address requires a correction, contact us by e-mail as soon as possible, and we'll do our best to make the change before your order is shipped.

You'll understand that once the package has left our premises, a change of address is no longer possible on our end.

To change the address of a parcel already in transit, you will need to contact the carrier directly:

Terms of delivery

  • Orders are delivered to the address provided by the customer when placing the order. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the delivery address provided is correct and complete (e.g. apartment number).
  • Please note that CdP is not responsible for any costs incurred if the delivery address provided is incorrect. In such a case, the customer will be responsible for the cost of the return shipment as well as the cost of re-shipping. If the customer wishes to cancel the order following an error in the delivery address, CdP will reimburse the customer an amount corresponding to the total of the order minus the return costs incurred.
  • If you notice an error in your address at the time of ordering and your package has not yet been shipped, please contact us as soon as possible.
  • No refunds will be made for packages delivered to the wrong location due to an incorrect address provided by the customer. We take responsibility for delivery errors, but you must do your part to provide us with the correct address!
